Iridology is an analysis of the iris, the coloured disk of the eyes. Iridologist use this technology to detect body constitution, inherent weaknesses, levels of health and transitions that take place in the body according to the way one lives.
The benefit of using this technology is to save cost, time and suffering on the part of the patient. Compare to other forms of health screening, the main advantage of Iridology is because changes appear in the iris before the physical symptom develops, and therefore one can prevent the disease and thus improve health and avoid those diseases which might otherwise follow.

Disadvantages of Iridology
Medow (2000) states that iridology is referred as a science that determines the functional changes of the organs through observing the pattern, abnormal lines or spots and the colour of the iris. Jensen (1982) examines the patient's inner condition by evaluating particular areas of the iris
. However, Women 24 (2015) clarify that this method does not work in certain circumstances, such as iris does not show pregnancy of a woman, as this is an ordinary function of a woman body. It also cannot track the place of gall bladder stone, kidney stone, disease and parasites. It usually cannot specifically identify an illness, however information relates to the disease wil be given. For example, the result will point out predispose tissues before the disease symptoms emerge. Prepared by Jean Ee. |
